What we collect
This notice covers Pro.Miami and its hosted business pages. Customers: name, email, ZIP or neighborhood, job description, timing, budget, uploaded photos, quotes, messages and request activity. The homeowner form does not ask for a phone number. Contractors: business and contact details, email, business phone, optional license information, services, coverage, setup progress, business-page text and images, quotes and conversations. Information comes from you, people you interact with, and public licensing records used for license searches and checks.
We also process IP addresses, request paths, browser/request information, account identifiers, authentication and security events, and email delivery records. Optional passkeys store credential identifiers and public-key information, not your fingerprint or face data. Your device or passkey provider manages biometric checks and any passkey syncing.
Why we use it
We use information to authenticate accounts, publish business pages, confirm and route requests, deliver quotes and conversations, send service emails, support users, check license records, prevent abuse and measure how the service works. Administrators can process submitted requests, including unconfirmed requests, for service operations and support. If billing applies to an account, the payment provider handles payment details and we process billing references and status; the current contractor offering is free.
How we share it
My pros is a private saved-business list associated with your customer account. Ratings you publish are public interaction stars from matched customers, not confirmation of completed work. You can update or remove your stars and saved businesses in My pros. Work portfolio photos and descriptions are public on the contractor business page; contractors can remove them in their dashboard. Do not publish customer identities, addresses or photos without permission. These account records are included when we handle verified access or deletion requests.
We sample form stages to find confusing steps, without sending your form contents or a visitor identifier in those events. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this sampling. If you choose to save a draft, its job text is available for recovery in this browser tab for 30 minutes; contact details, photos and prices are not saved with it.
Contractors cannot access a request until its email confirmation is completed. A business-page request goes only to that business. A marketplace request is available to matching contractors. Your account email is not included in the contractor-facing request. Job descriptions, photos and messages may themselves contain personal information you choose to share. Each conversation is separated from other contractors. Public business profiles and their images are visible to visitors and search engines. Contractors are responsible for information they receive and any services they independently provide.
Service-provider categories include hosting, storage, security, analytics and transactional email (Cloudflare), public-search performance tools (Google), payment processing where applicable, and AI text or image providers for assisted features and editorial content. AI-assisted job interpretation sends the text being interpreted to a model service. Do not include sensitive information in that text; review AI output before relying on it. Providers process data needed for their services; this notice does not promise that provider retention or training settings are identical across services. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to investigate abuse or protect rights. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies, browser storage and messages
Optional first-party usage analytics is off until you choose Allow analytics in Analytics privacy choices. It records finite page labels, device category, approximate country and coarse interaction cells, not typed content, private messages, full URLs or raw IPs. A random signed browser identifier is scoped to this host, not shared across sites. It is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Records are available for up to 30 days and processed on Cloudflare; country groups below five recorded events are suppressed in reports. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable this collection. You can withdraw, export paginated browser history or delete that history from the same controls. Withdrawal retains the identifier only to support your export and deletion choices until its cookie expires; it does not permit more tracking. Non-identifying aggregate totals can remain until their retention expires. Clearing the cookie removes this browser's ability to retrieve its history. These controls do not delete your account or service records.
Sign-in uses session cookies and emailed links or optional passkeys. Browser storage also remembers interface preferences and onboarding choices. Saved request and quote wording is recoverable in the same tab for 30 minutes; deleting browser storage removes that local copy, not records already submitted. Blocking cookies may prevent sign-in. The form-stage sampling described above honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control; those signals do not disable essential security or service processing.
Service emails include sign-in, confirmation, setup and conversation notifications. Closing a request stops new quotes, but existing conversations can continue; you can manage requests at My requests. Contact privacy@pro.miami about other communication or privacy choices. Withdrawing optional consent does not undo prior lawful processing.
Retention
Records remain available to support accounts, requests, conversations, security and dispute handling. The request maintenance process moves older requests out of active views after approximately 180 days, but this is not deletion or anonymization: internal archives can retain contact and job information and currently have no automatic expiry. We do not promise that records disappear after 24 months. Authentication links expire separately from account records. Backups, delivery records and provider logs can have different lifetimes. Contact us to request deletion of retained information, including archived records, subject to applicable legal obligations.
Your rights
You can edit or delete active requests in My requests, update contractor settings, and remove passkeys in your account. For access, correction, a copy, deletion of other records, or a privacy complaint, email privacy@pro.miami. Identify the account and request without sending passwords, sign-in links or sensitive identity documents. We may need to verify your identity and authority before releasing or changing records. Additional rights, response deadlines, appeal rights and regulator remedies depend on applicable law; nothing here limits those rights. There is no self-service export or archive-deletion screen.
The service is intended for adults, not children under 18. Contact us if a child has submitted personal information. Public content or copies already received by others may remain outside our control. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Material privacy changes will be dated and communicated as required; we will seek consent where required rather than treating an updated notice as permission for incompatible uses.
