How it works

A minute end to end.

One short form, four steps. Submit during dinner, get callbacks before bed. Free for homeowners.

One short form, four steps, about a minute end to end.

The four steps

  1. 1. Tell us. Click Get free quotes. Pick your trade from the searchable list (or type "AC", "leaking sink", "mold", whatever you need). Pick your Miami-Dade neighborhood. Add your name, phone, email. Describe the job in a couple sentences. Optionally drop in a photo or two — contractors quote tighter and faster when they can see what they are working with.
  2. 2. Pros see it. Pro.Miami fans your request out to Miami-Dade contractors who cover that trade and neighborhood. Every paid plan sees the request in their dashboard with your contact info blurred and decides whether to unlock. Per-lead competition is capped: Pool plan has no cap, Standard caps at 5 other contractors per lead, Exclusive caps at 3 — so you talk to a small set of qualified pros, not 50 cold callers.
  3. 3. They call. Most callbacks happen within the hour during business hours, four hours overnight, same day for emergencies. You can take all the calls, some of the calls, or none — you are not obligated to anyone.
  4. 4. Pick & hire. Compare the quotes side by side: scope, equipment tier, warranty, payment schedule, start date. Pick whichever pro you want. Your contract is with the contractor, not Pro.Miami.

What we route on

Two things only: trade (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, etc.) and Miami-Dade neighborhood. We do not auction, we do not surface charge urgency-based premiums, and we do not let contractors bid for placement above what the plan tier already grants.

How fast contractors call back

Median first callback is around 25 minutes during business hours. AC and plumbing emergencies in summer get the fastest callbacks because pros run after-hours rotations. Mark your job as Emergency / today on the form to filter to those pros. Slower trades (mold, structural, full re-roofs) callback in 1 to 4 hours and that is the right pace, since you do not want a same-hour quote on a $40K job anyway.

How we verify nothing (and what you should do instead)

Pro.Miami is a directory and lead-routing service. We do not screen, verify, license, employ, or insure the contractors who use the platform. The only check we do is on the homeowner side: phone format, neighborhood allowlist, basic spam patterns. Before hiring anyone:

  1. Look up the Florida contractor license at Pro.Miami's license verifier. Most major trades require a state license. Which trades need which licenses.
  2. Request a certificate of insurance (general liability and workers comp). For larger jobs, ask the carrier to list your address as the certificate holder.
  3. Get scope and price in writing before any work or payment. Reputable contractors do not start without a signed proposal in Miami-Dade because permits and inspections require one.
  4. Check independent reviews. Google, BBB, the contractor's own site. A 4.8 with 200 reviews beats a 5.0 with 5 reviews.
  5. Avoid full prepayment. Florida law caps deposits at 10% of the contract for licensed jobs, with limited exceptions.

Cost

Free for homeowners. No fee, no markup, no commission. Contractors pay Pro.Miami a flat monthly subscription ($49 / $149 / $399). We never take a percentage of the job, so the price you get quoted is clean of "lead-platform tax."

What if no one calls back?

Rare, but it happens, especially during hurricane season when AC and roofing pros are buried. Email trust@pro.miami with your lead reference and we will resubmit to a fresh batch. We track callback rate per contractor and rotate low responders out.

Permissions

By submitting a job request you authorize matching Miami-Dade contractors to contact you by phone, text (SMS), and email about that job, including via automated technology. Consent is not required to purchase any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply, reply STOP to opt out of texts.
